The 3 cylinder engine on my Kubota L2802 DT 4wd tractor sounds like the tappets need adjustment. Much rattling at idle. Are these adjustable,? If so what is the gap for hot (or cold Setting ) ?

General rule of thumb when you do not have spec is to turn each cyl. to top of compression stroke and adjust till push rods get slight tension while turning with fingers. ....

Thank you Oneace, the rule-of-thumb advice makes sense. I'll try it.
Is there an easy way to tell when a cylinder is at TDC without removal of an injector or glow plug and feeling with a screwdriver inside the cylinder ? ....
